The Rooke Advantage

Rooke® Boots are designed to provide optimal insulation, and protection to the lower extremities of patients in a hospital, nursing home or home health care setting. They are ideal for patients being treated for ischemia, neuropathy or other related conditions. They are also useful for patients suffering from pressure ulcers.

A combination of three layers of fabric and strategically placed foam pads work to absorb pressure from  bedding which may be touching the limb. It also acts as a barrier against additional trauma.

Unlike other vascular boots, patients continue to wear these boots at home, helping to reduce the chance for readmission.

Testimonials: Health care professionals have lots of good thing to say about Rook® Boots.  Read more...

Ven View Positioning Chair

A chair positioning and testing system for ABIs and PVRs. Testing for Ven Obstruction, Valvular Incompetence, and Calf Pump Function was never easier, safer, or faster!

With the chair in the Lay Down Position, the operator may grab the handle, pull it, thereby releasing the foot pad. As the foot pad is lowered the pad support legs appear and set on the floor.

At this point the chair becomes horizontal with an adjustable space between the main chair portion and the foot support portion. This open space is useful for performing additional scanning type of exams.

This position is also used for performing the aR-View exam. The aR-View System is available for ABIs and PVRs.

    • Step 1: Patient is seated and cuffs are placed around thighs and another set just above the ankles.

    • Step 2: The patient will be then moved to the “lay Down” position.
      The obstruction test is performed.

    • Step 3: The patient is returned to the “Sit Up” position.
The Valvular Competence test is then performed.

    • Step 4: The Patient will then perform a series of foot flexes and this is the Calf Pump Function test.

    • Step 5: The cuffs are removed and the patient may stand and leave, or stay for further testing.
