Phlebotest™ The Clear Choice for Lower Extremity
                             Physiological Examination

A computerized strain gauge combining a Plethysmography and positioning chair designed for the diagnosis of venous obstruction and venous insufficiency of the lower limb.

Current methods of venous examination focus on qualitative issues. The Phlebotest™ system provides a clear picture of physiology of the lower extremity veins.

For the most thorough physiological examination of the lower extremity, the choice is clear... Phlebotest™.

Comprehensive...Concise...Exams...Phlebotest™
The Phlebotest™ system is a reliable and cost effective diagnostic method for exclusion or confirmation of both venous obstruction and venous insufficiency. The Phlebotest™ examinations: Outflow Plethysmography (OP), Passive Drainage Refill (PDR), and Exercise Venous Plethysmography (EVP).

Outflow Plethysmography (OP) test examination provides for accurate examination of obstruction in the lower extremeties.

• The Phlebotest™ software automatically reports predetermined values categorized for free flow, obstructed and/or equivocal test results.

Passive Drain and Refill (PDR) examination evaluates value function under passive pool-vein filling prior to active dorsal flexion pumping.

Measured Refill Rates (RR) at predetermined and known time durations provide comprehensive data for interpretation.

• With the Exercise Venous Plethysmography (EVP) examination, calculated parameters (refill volumes) reflect the dynamics of the venous system of the limb

Efficient...Accurate...Phlebotest™
Accurate strain gauge plethysmography is achieved with the Phlebotest™ system’s unique, patented positioning chair.

  • Anti-constriction seat
  • Hand rails
  • Large seat back
  • Proper stability results in less artifacts

Accurate strain gauge plethysmography is achieved with the Phlebotest™ system’s unique, patented Windows-based software.

  • Powerful software gathers and calculates patient data for quick and comprehensive interpretation.
  • Software is self calibrating and automatically formatted to test each patient. No manual calibration or measurements are required.
  • Combine the Phlebotest’s™ stability and test accuracy with powerful software and the result is more testing in less time!*

* An entire triple test (OP, PDR, EVP) is estimated at 15 minutes.

Versatile...Simple...Phlebotest™

  • With the Phlebotest’s™ positioning chair and custom made software, investigations are conducted using a single technician.
  • Remote control use means hand-free patient orientation at the touch of a button.  Ergonomic concerns are eliminated!
  • The Phlebotest™ is versatile when it comes to patient positioning. The popular exam table position allows for doppler and ultrasound examination

Quality...Technology...Phlebotest™
Quality is the backbone of all Osborn Medical products. Comprehensive design planning and functional qualifications provide assurance that your Phlebotest™ system will function properly each and every time.

Extensive Software / Hardware Valuation Testing
The Phlebotest™ is subjected to rigorous validation testing to ensure the software program always communicates appropriately with mechanical movements of the chair.

Comprehensive Hazard (Risk) Analysis
A comprehensive risk analysis was conducted to ensure that each potential risk to both patient and technician is addressed.

System Space Requirements
68x78x60 inches in the home position and 40x84x60 inches in the supine position.

Environmental Condition Requirements
Minimum 10 C / 50 F working condition temperature.
Maximum 35 C / 95 F working condition temperature.
Maximum 90% RH working condition humidity (non condensing)
